Forest Flow vs. Urban Overload
This behavioural study focuses on dogs that are living in high stress environments, compared to Piglet who lives and excercises within the countryside. High drive dogs, in fact any dog can become so overwhelmed by sensory overload, because of their living environment, that they can’t concentrate, and so tune you out as an owner. This keeps them in the state of ‘Fight or Flight ‘ loop, where the dog’s nervous system shifts from processing to reacting.
This small test can give you an idea of where your dog’s emotional state lies, and if you as an owner, would like to learn how to help your dog regulate his/ her nervous system.
